Exclusive talent editorials with original photography and styling are the cornerstones of our editorial content standards. If you're a talent rep and made it this far, I would love to safely assume you've checked out some of our features and would like to pitch one of your clients for a digital feature or cover story with Kolor Magazine. If so, I'm honored that you want to introduce your client to Kolor, and we look forward to each and every pitch. With that in mind, here's some information below on a potential digital feature with Kolor Magazine.
We DO NOT accept existing artwork for our features or cover stories. Every editorial you see on Kolor is photographed and styled by our in-house team of photographers and editors. We create content like this because Kolor Magazine is a Fashion Magazine first. An interview is cool, but any publication can crank out a phone or zoom interview for a quick feature. The Kolor Magazine experience displayed in each of our features takes place in-studio, making personal connections with the talent and incorporating luxury fashion into their original feature. This also allows us to maintain exclusivity with our content.
Currently, we're only able to execute these productions in New York City! Talent must have NYC availability for a digital feature or cover photoshoot.
We're open to shooting talent from all gender identities and ethnic backgrounds. Black and brown cisgender, transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming folks, and disabled talent are welcomed. I also want to note that black and brown identities are not limited to Black and Latino people. Please pitch your clients of Asian, Native American, Pacific Islander, and Multiracial clients, as well as white clients who have deep connections with black and brown causes, communities or entertainment (think Joseph Sikora or Gianni Paolo from Power, Gary Owen from BET, for example).
