20 Celebrities Who Sat Front Row at The Louis Vuitton Spring 2024 Menswear Show

The announcement of Pharrell Williams as the Men's Creative Director for Louis Vuitton was sure to attract the biggest names in entertainment to Paris for his first collection. With the fashion world watching, Pharrell debuted damier print separates, motifs of Paris on overcoats, and varsity jackets worn by Clispes members No Malice and Pusha T, respectively, and an array of bag styles from top handles and duffle bags to backpacks and crossbody styles. Criticism was attached to Williams Vuitton appointment as some believed a designer with a more traditional design background should have held that position. To that, the Hip Hop mogul told the New York Times days before his show, "I am a creative designer from the perspective of the consumer. I didn’t go to Central Saint Martins. But I definitely went in the stores and purchased, and I know what I like.” Though his experience in experience in fashion goes beyond buying luxury pieces --Pharrell's fashion resume includes Billionaire Boys Club, founded in 2003 with designer Nigo, Ice Cream, a subsidiary of BBC, and collaborations with Marc Jacobs and Chanel-- the new Creative Director is still eager to learn. “This is the crown jewel of the LVMH portfolio. It’s everything, and I was appointed to rule in this position. So No. 1, a ruler of a position is usually like a king. But a ruler of this position for me is a perpetual student. It’s what I intend to be," he shared with Jon Caramanica, who interviewed Pharrell for the Times.
