SiR Drops New Track “Nothing Even Matters” With Music Video

SiR returns with a new music video for his latest song, "Nothing Even Matters." The Samtrax-produced track is the first solo debut from the R&B singer since joining Top Dog Entertainment.

In the video, SiR's smooth voice floats over the D’Angelo sampled track that tells the story of being a better man for a love interest. "Since I can remember, I've been rolling with stones; didn't really think I'd ever find a place I belong, but since you came in the picture I made a vowed to behave; didn't want you dealing with someone who would just drown in your way," SiR sings on the second verse of the track.

In a recent digital cover story with OkayPlayer, the Inglewood, California native shares more on his upcoming album, Heavy, and how it thematically compares to Kendrick Lamar's Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. "I think my album is very similar to [Kendrick’s] because it talks a lot about mental health, and it talks a lot about just growth. It’s me growing as a person, and I think that’s what [Kendrick] was trying to show people on his album, who he was at the moment. I definitely enjoyed the album,” he shared with the digital music outlet founded by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and Angela “Stress” Nissel in the late 90s. On writing for this forthcoming Heavy album SiR told Okayplayer, “I always come from a very transparent, vulnerable place. I definitely was just trying to be as honest as possible. I was writing songs that I needed to write. It was my therapy almost because I had nothing else to do. All I had was music and my home life.”

Heavy follows up three studio albums, Seven Sundays (2015), November (2018), Chasing Summer (2019), and two extended plays HER & HER TOO, released in 2016 and 2017, respectively
